Training
Our approach to transferring knowledge
Our philosophy is to make our
clients self-sufficient, rather than reliant on external support indefinitely.
The training component of our programmes is fundamental to reaching
this objective.
All Venturehaus staff have a background in managing
process in Financial Services. We have leveraged our experience to
develop training that ensures that the methodologies and tools taught
are directly relevant to our clients; we teach practical tools in an
engaging fashion and we reinforce their pragmatic use through either
role-play simulations or exercises.
Training approach
All Venturehaus courses are highly interactive and
industry specific in context. All levels of our training are designed
and delivered to ensure that participants are immediately effective
when deploying their new skills in the workplace. In addition, throughout
each of our courses we ensure that all methodologies and tools reviewed
have a business context. In short, we do not present anything that
we do not feel would be useful in the workplace or without discussion
as to how it could be employed by the course participants in their
own jobs.
We solicit feedback both during and after courses to ensure
that this discipline is maintained. Further, through the provision
of coaching services after training, the same Venturehaus staff ensure
successful application of the course teachings into the improvement
projects and into the business as a whole. The applicability of the
training and its immediate use by participants within projects builds
an in-house capability that leads to self-sufficiency.
Venturehaus
has a variety of courses to meet all training requirements of a business
improvement initiative. These go from Champion courses that focus on
critical infrastructure elements, such as effective project selection,
coaching and project closure, through to more technical courses in
Lean and Six Sigma tailored for the level and requirements of the participants.
Role-play simulation-based training
Simulation-based training is the
most appropriate and enjoyable means of training quality improvement
in Financial Services businesses. Venturehaus’ simulation-based
training has been designed to provide comprehensive yet relevant instruction
in the most appropriate tools and techniques used in Business Process
Improvement in Financial Services. Role-play simulation within the courses
offers an exciting and highly effective means of training the methods
and tools in an environment which directly reflects the student’s
own Business and Processes. It makes the training relevant and memorable,
providing greater value for trainees across all levels of the organisation.
Currently Venturehaus has a number of financial process simulations,
representing typical transactional back-office operations.
