Premium Service™
Premium Service™ is a Process Simulation designed
specifically for use within the Insurance industry. Premium
Service™ simulates an Insurance Services BPO company,
providing premium processing and accounting services on
behalf of 3 insurance brokers and an underwriting company.
The Core Process involves the underwriting administration
and accounting of Premium Advice Notifications on behalf
of the Brokers and Premium Income Reporting to the Underwriter.
Whilst many of the organisational and process issues inherent
in the Premium Service business are exaggerated, they are
derived from real and typical issues found in most service
companies. Such issues are prevalent in most transaction
processing operations, and the role play simulation helps
students to learn, understand and apply the concepts and
tools of Six Sigma process improvement within a familiar
context.
